Global Game Jam 2016: Spirit Rush

Role: Designer, Audio, Programmer.
Description: A local multiplayer arena game based on capturing objectives before your opponent. Each player is given a list of shrines at the beginning of the game and they must capture the shrines and get to the trap door in the middle of the map before their opponent completes their list. Each player has abilities that they can use to hinder their opponents progress and they can steal shrines from each other to further hinder the other player.
Global Game Jam 2015: Chich ‘n’ Itza: Together

Role: Designer, Programmer
Description: “Chich ‘n’ Itza: Together” is a simple platformer game, which follows the adventures of two the two Mayan brothers, Chich and Itza, mirrored as the Mayan Hero Twins from Mayan legends. Chich and Itza have been bound together due to their relentless bickering, the twins must work together to make there way through the trials ahead. The game is controlled via clicks. Click either of the twins to take control of them, clicking anywhere on the screen allows for the active twin to move to that location while the inactive twin stays in place acting like an anchor. Switch between the twins, making use of the rope physics to navigate through the levels to reach the end goal.
My work: As this project was the first time that the other members of the team had worked in Unity I spent a lot of time explaining how to work in Unity and showing them how to implement their code. The rest of my time was mainly spent on designing and implementing levels based off of the mechanic of the two characters being linked by a tether.
